On June 8, 2009, a delegation of sorors went to Monrovia to visit with Africa’s first elected female head of state, Liberian President, Soror Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. Soror Sirleaf was a charter member of Eta Beta Omega chapter in Monrovia. She invited the sorors to visit and be a part of the ribbon cutting for several Women Market Places. Soror Sirleaf has vowed to empower women during her administration by strengthening their entrepreneurial skills and enhancing their level of education. Her Excellency hopes that her beloved sorority, especially the North Atlantic Region, will be a part of the women’s initiatives. Supreme Basileus McKinzie has committed to assist Soror Sirleaf. More information will follow on how you can take part in this global project.
